This case study demonstrates ability of IN 550 XTW to control the jacket temperature in range of -20°C to +190°C as per customer requirement. This system can achieve a minimum temperature of -45°C in process with an accuracy level of ±0.05 but as required by customer system is operated at -20°C in cooling and +190°C at heating
Process
The SS reactor is connected to Lauda IN 550 XTW with a flexible insulated metal hose of 2M and circulating a heat transfer liquid ‘Kryo 70’ and Lauda Unit Outflow temperature controlled instead of Process temperature.
The Integral XT process thermostats operate according to the circulation principle with a cold oil blanket that allows the utilization of the entire temperature range through the use of a heat transfer medium. It took approximately 70 minutes to heat up from +35°C to +180°C and 22 minutes to cool down from +35°C to -10°C.
The Integral XT process thermostats are ideal for dynamic temperature control tasks.
